Guest jeff.s Posted June 20, 2006 Report Share Posted June 20, 2006 THE BLOKE AND HIS SON NEXT DOOR TO ME BOUGHT A BLOWUP DINGY OFF EBAY, SO HE WENT OUT AND GOT AN ENGINE FOR IT, ANYWAY OFF THEY WENT TO THE BEACH AND WENT OUT IN IT, THEY WENT A FAIR WAY OUT AND GOT SOME HAND LINES AND PUT THEM OVER THE SIDE, THEY WERE OUT AN HOUR WHEN THEY SAW SOMEONE ON THE BEACH SO THEY THOUGHT COS THEY WERE WATCHING THEM THEY WOULD GIVE THEM A WAVE, 20 MIN LATER A YELLOW HELICOPTER CAME OVER THEN THE LIFE BOAT CAME AND BROUGHT THEM BACK THE PAPERS WERE THERE WAITING TAKING PHOTOS, SO THEY ENDED UP IN THE NIGHT PAPER AND GOT A GOOD TELLING OFF FOR BEEN OUT SO FAR. THE NEXT DAY THEY ASKED ME IF I COULD GO AND COLLECT A BRAN NEW ENGINE WITH THEM IN MY CAR, THEY PAID 325 POUND FOR IT. THE DINGY WAS ONLY 60 POUND, SO THEY THOUGHT BIGGER ENGINE MORE POWER WONT GET STUCK OUT AT SEA, THEY WENT OUT ABOUT 300 YARDS AND SAID LETS SEE WHAT IT CAN DO SO THEY PUT THE REVS ON, THE ENGINE RIPPED THOUGH THE BOARD ON THE BACK OF THE DINGY AN SANK TO THE BOTTEM OF THE SEA. AND THEY HAD TO PADDLE BACK TOOK THEM 2HOURS COS THE TIDE WAS GOING OUT. THEY DIDN,T DARE PHONE FOR HELP, THEY HAVE BEEN DOWN A LOW TIDE FOR THE LAST 3 DAYS HOPING TO GET THE ENGINE BACK, he,s just told me he,s putting the dingy back on ebay, JEFF :11: :11: :11: Quote Link to post Share on other sites
