badgeroy 3
Before anybody goes into one these ferals are countryside farm ferals living off the land not manky street pigeons, i have fed collared doves and woodies to my ferrets from the same farm with no ill effects, does anybody else feed these ferals to their ferrets? by the way i have not yet fed any although i have shot quite a few over the last few months and it seems a waste leaving them for the fox's. stubby 175
your right about country ferals being better than town ones, the ones on the underground would make you  just by the smell, as for food, Ive always followed the lines, if Id eat it, then its fine for the ferts, rabbits, squirrels, woodies etc, but Id never eat a feral, country or town Quote Link to post
The one 8,456
Im feeding my ferrets on ferals got 100's off of Bobo freeze them four in a poly bag and give the ferrets rabbit one night pigeon the next a bit messy with the feather's but all im taking out is a pair of wings Quote Link to post
StephOC 6
Mine get ferrel pigeons whenever I get out shooting. I wouldn't want to eat them myself, but there's probably no reason not to; I've seen them opened up, and they're mostly feeding on spilt grain, shoots, and oilseed rape seed and other stored foodstuffs ~ things that will end up on supermarket shelves in some form, eventually! By the next morning there's just feathers left, and the ferrets choose pigeon over dryed food thats also in the cage, so it can't be that bad for them. Quote Link to post

Cold Ethyl 63
Not killed mine yet!I have loads of woodies especially out the back door. The cat quite often brings them and mice and other birds in and they all go to the ferrets much to the cats disgust lol.Mine also get dry meal too and they will eat the mat over the kibble so i guess it cant be bad for them they seem helathy and happy enough.
