jazz_11 5
yes thanks guys... ONE other question though, i was cleaning my jills cage earlier nothing unusual, she came out sniffed my hand then locked on i could not believe it she has never ever bitten me or tried to, she tried dragging me into the cage, the door was open i got her off then she walked out of the cage i couldnt believe it because i didnt think she would leave the cage at all, i promtly picked her up and put her back in she went back in left her for a few minutes then i opened the sleeping area because she cant see me when i do because tehre is so much hay and sawdust in there so she could nest and i could still hear squeeking and sucking noise so i gather she didnt go in and eat them... ill check on them a bit later, at what age will they start climbing out of the nesting area.... stubby 175
jills tend to get a bit "bitey" when they have a litter, Id say, leave her alone as much as possible, only clean out when absolutely neccessary and stop peaking in the sleeping quarters, as this if anything, could get a new mum to panic and either abandon or eat Quote Link to post
max abell 196
Yeh as stubby said mate leave her in peace for a few days she is obviously a bit touchy at the min but she will go back to normal soonish we have had jills nip us when they are having a phantom pregnancy and these are jills that have never bitten anybody its there horemoans and motherly protection nothing to worry about GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR LITTER Quote Link to post
