Are the above locator collars interchangeable??

Would a MK1 work with a MK2/3 As I have 5 MK1 collars but the box of tricks has given up the ghost and I found a MK2 locator at a car boot but without a collar

I have been offered a MK3 locator also without a collar so which if any MK2 or MK3 boxes would work with the older collars??

 

I have not had any dealings with the newer locators and Im a bit in the dark

i thought it was only the mk 1 box with mk 3 collars, could be wrong though, ps if your selling any collars give me a shout lol.

wrong, its the other way around, a mk1 box will pick up mk3 collars, but am affraid the only thing that will pick up mk1 collars, are mk1 boxes,

 

with 5 collars, you'd be better off selling them on e bay, then buying a new mk3m with couple collars from the proceeds

i got a locator still in box never usde ans coller and batterys but dont no what it is think is the mark one how much is it worth. i got 5 ferrets and never use it.

Mk1 box will pick up all collars.

Mk3 box will only pick up Mk3 collars.

 

I sold two Mk1 finders on EBay for £60 each a couple of months ago. Personally I wouldn't part with one for less than £50. Mk1 collars are worth roughly the same, sold a 15ft one yesterday on EBay for £55. People on here will tell you their not worth that much but thats because they want them on the cheap.

Can we get a propper verification as whether a mk 3 box willl pick up mk1 collers children? I know the mk 1 box picked up mk3 collars better than the mk 3 box , allthough a little harder to work out at the time. Giving a more accurate reading as well!

Pile or shoite mk 3 showing 3 ft on an 18" dig and a lot more the deeper it went!
