i dont use them myself but have a shooting buddy that does use them and i have shot a few roe and done abit on the range with them. good accuracy and consistancy and the roe were all very successful shots.

based on my small experience with them... very good. :whistling::whistling:

anyone use hornady 85g soft points 243 on roe ,

Yes I too would be interested in the outcome with these.

I am reloading some Nosler 95g BT for a friend's 243 which will be for roe - what appeals to me is that FPS will be around 2850 so (hopefully) it should leave some meat on the bone. Anyway he will be over at the weekend to try the different combinations I have made up.

Hello Paul

Yes I am experimenting with H414 starting at 40g and moving towards 42g. At present using Federal cases and Fed GM210M primers.

I think the critical thing will be distance from the lands at the end of the day - at the moment going for an ogive measurement of 2.151 which is COL of 2.640 - not a fan of heads stuck next to the lands!!

Where have you got so far with your loads?

Peter
