Great morning with the 223 on rabbit

Dont bother with a HMR, i shoot loads of rabbits with my 222, i load all my own bullets and use a 34grn hollow point for the rabbits, fast flat and quiet but doesnt explode them on impact

 

Good stuff mate, what make are the 34 gnrs, where did you get them ;)

those rabbits are mangled!! for pest control its fine but if you wanted to eat rabbits then i think you should stick with 22lr!

 

fine if you want to eat them as well. just need to headshot them and accept the fact there wont be a head left when you get there. nothing wrong with that shooting ;)

They are called Dog Town Hollow Points and are stocked by Midway Uk,

alternativley you could try the Barnes Varmint Grenades, they are 36grn

Agreed, but i have shot Rabbits at 250 yds with the 222, and i cant quite manage that with the .22lr :tongue2:
