hoping you mean re homed, rather than released,

disturb the jill as little as possible, provide fresh meat/rabbit and fresh water daily, she will pretty much take care of the kitts, at around a week old you can try taking a peep at the kitts, sooner if you know her temprement, dont over fuss her, animals have been raising young for years without our help

get reading up as much as possible on ferret husbandry, either search old posts here, or get down the libary

When there about 2/3 weeks i start putting half a rabbit in the nest box daily the kitts will suck eat it and it reduces the demand on the jill

Once they do start eating properly get that freezer full up cos ferret kitts

are like eating machines you wonder to yourself how can a whole rabbit fit

into them 8 little bodies but it does as you will find

good luck with your litter hope you find good homes for them all

when they start trying/eating meat i would mince it,makes it easier for them to eat and gradualy make the size bigger until there big enough to rip it up themselfs

I wouldn't bother mincing it up, at first they just suck meat maybe getting the juices etc if you mince it they might choke on a bit as there not able to chew it .

so wild/feral ferrets can get there hands on a mincer can they :hmm:

they are born with the "teeth" to do that themselves
