Cumbrian 7
I have been given a nice little Zeiss Scope 6x32 its in vgc and crystal clear , would anyone put it on a 243 ???? Quote Link to post
flytie 1
Cumbrian, yes and for two reasons; 1/ If I was saving up for a higher mag scope and could not afford on at the moment. I'm getting on and my eyes aren't as good as they used to be 2/ If I was only going to be woodland/close quarter shooting. The "NORMAL" magnification for a stalking scope seems to be 6x42, but not that many years ago deer were regularly killed with rifles fitted with similar scopes to yours. The modern fashion seems to be for high power scopes with adjustable magnification. I would rather fit your scope to my rifle than a cheap peice of higher power glass any day. Mr_Logic 5
If you're shooting deer, then it should do nicely! Quote Link to post
Guest MickyB
Should do very nicely for your .243, in fact I wish I had one on mine!! 6x magnification is easily enough for most stalking situations, and being a Ziess, the clarity will be very good. Quote Link to post
