Met a lot of older bucks at it too. Thought the black had the beating of the lurcher (No disrepect to lurcher owner if he's on here), but thought the hound might take her. Nice to see a few glens there too.

 

Anyone ever been to the one in Caim? Any good?

just want to say thanks to the lads for a great show yesterday in rockview there was a great show of lads and savage looking terriers. i met a good few lads off here and cant wait to see their dogs and mine in action in the coming season. cheers again lads

It was a good show and a great day out, but did any of you see the state of the border dog that won the border class?Not even a drag of a brush through his coat!

He was bad allright Crafty, the owner had a bitch as bad, ive been around borders for a long time and i never seen coats like them. Did ya think the judge was a bit colour blind in the pup under 12 mts class .....winners 3 white dogs ?

lthe judge tried to pick all working dogs ok he made a mistake on borders paddys dog was best border by a mile nobody complain about winner only showponies if all the shows are as good we have a great summer who cares what dog wins wants it a worker

Seems like a lot of terriers that won their classes or came second and third were WORKING terriers. Great to see and long may it continue.

just to reply ozzy it was the first time i ever showed my terriers at a show. i entered for the craic. that particular border has seen 26 foxs this year and works them the way i like terriers to work HARD. I WENT TO THAT SHOW TO MEET UP WITH A FEW LADS TALK DOGS AND ORGANIZE A FEW DIGS FOR NEXT YEAR. THATS WHERE THE REAL TEST IS BOY UNDERGOUND.............. DOSENT MATTER IF HIS COAT IS COMBED THEN LAD........ GOOD LUCK€
