Dowen Pest Control Solutions 0
I have a jill who is ready to drop anyday now in the past I have always seperated them from the other ferrets I have six. I was thinking of leaving the ferrets all together I have a castrated pole cat that lives with the jills would it be best to just remove him and leave all the jills together your thoughts please regards Dowen. GAZCO 0
I've tried to leave jills together in the past and the kits have been eaten, so i wouldn't recommend it, but i'm sure someone will have succeeded, i think when jill's are having kit's it's best to give the jill's a cage each. stubby 175
its the "how long is a piece of string question", last year the ferts in the court, successfully raised a litter of around 12 kitts, with a mixture of intact hobs, castrated hob and jills, this year the court has 5 jills and the castrated hob in, a unplanned litter was left alone in there, and within 3 days the kitts had been eaten, so Id say, unless your really sure of your jills, or have available cage space, and want kitts, then split them, just to be on the safe side Quote Link to post

BRY 79
i have left 2 jills and a hob in the same time, the 2 jills kicked the hob out of the nesting box and reared each others young. So i removed the hob as he was sleeping outside . Quote Link to post
