The Hare and the Hound

Recommended Posts

No, not coursing!...But!...If a big rabbit gets up when you're having a mooch and the dog's in full stride before you notice all you can do is watch, and take a picture or two if the camera is handy. Doubt if even the super coursing dogs could catch on these steep hills anyway… 8)

Nice action shots mate. As for the terrain, I've walked over steeper to get to a chase :D

I'm sure they would Fenmaster, Meg's only little and I never intentionally run her on anything but rabbits. I wopuld take you up on an invite though to see some of your land.. ;)

6foot, I wouldn't ever intentionally run anything other than rabbit this time of year, like you I believe all game needs time out. But, surprises can happen when you're out for a summer mooch and unless I see it before the dog does there is little I or anyone can do, I would add she didn't catch it and it got clean away. :D

Aussiewhippet, Cannon 40D. I was out getting pictures of grey partridge and kestrels when the hare got up.

Anonymous, I've walled steeper to get to a good woman!... ;)
