SportingShooter 0
What information were you looking for specifically Bagderoy? Pattern density with different loads? Quote Link to post

SportingShooter 0
Your best bet is to get out and try them on a pattern plate But if I remember rightly, there is some good information in stats form on the Purdey website http://www.purdey.com I think its in the gun building section. flytie 1
There is a lot of information to be found in "Gough Thomas's" book Shotguns & Cartridges, which you can order from your local library for £1.00. Obviously you have to give it back, but it's still a bargain. ft Edited May 4, 2009 by flytie Quote Link to post
Geoff.C 0
Mainly useable spread with 8's at approx 30yds with different chokes I assume you would be clay shooting with this load? Shot this small is ideal for clays and 1/4 choke at 30 yards is just right. I would not think of any live quarry with it though. A good way to get an idea of what your patterns look like, if you have the facilities, (because you can't do much at some clay grounds). Get a roll of wallpaper (thickish lining paper works for me), and hang it over a hedge or old pallet. Shoot away, and keep rolling out a fresh bit. You won't get the whole pattern on the width of paper, but you get a good idea. Quote Link to post
