is 3-9 x 40 a good scope its for a hw77 there is a 4x32 on it already dont know much bout scopes just how to zero them thats bout it thanks

all you need really is a 3x9x40 or 3x9x50 you can get 6x24x56 but you would need a really powerfull gun firearms

Depends alot on what you're doing with it. If you're just plinking or shooting upto 30/40 yards, a fixed 6x32 would do. Or you could get a 3-9x40, but bear in mind scope quality. The cheap ones that come from china on eBay are pieces of crap that wouldn't hold a zero if you were firing a pea through a straw.

 

I'd suggest the Nikko range, or a JSR scope - which has great optics for the money.

I think hawke scopes are good, I always get the cheap hawke HD 3-9 x 50 and never had any problems. I think the nikko sterlings are over priced in comparison with the hawkes...and yes I have tried them both.

i got a 3-9x40 jsr scope. it was great value, only 30 quid! very good value for money.
