Im willing to bet that you woulndnt be bothered if these houses were being built somewhere else. this country needs houses. Its a simple fact. i come from a mining village in the north. this village was derelict within 5 years of the pits closing. thankfully with new builds and such like we are just getting back on our feet. new people, new jobs ,new community. Officially we are in a state of reccesion. New housing estates bring much needed jobs and money into the existing community. Or is it just that your community is already financially secure. then if that is the case all i can see is a case of Haves, and have nots. atb stabba.
i aggree that we need more housing but why destroy the butiful land we have and should be proud of.

there is plenty of land in luton its self plenty of parks that are full of drunks druggies and muggers why not build there as they need improvement.

as for if they was to build on enyones villige iwould support them as well ;)

Agree 100% Maxhardcore! I'm not saying that if you added together all the empty houses in the British Isles it would necessarily come to the total of new housing apparently needed but it would certainly make a dent in it. It would also provide work in the urban areas where unemployment may be higher and re-generate those areas.

The farms where I have permission are ear-marked to have housing etc built on a section of them, yet I'm only about ten miles from a major city, full of empty buildings.

As i say Yes we need work for BUILDERS but why not demolish delapetated housing and build new on those sites, renovate all the thousands and thousands of empty properties nation wide creating the same work for tradesman but build on green belt No Way, stop all the over immigration so the need for housing is less, so british kids arnt held back in schools because teachers time is took up with non speaking foreign kids, for hospitals to be under less strain ect ect ect.

Agree with both posts 100%, I think the question is "why do we need new housing" its mostly a case of catering for people who shouldn't be here in the first place imo,

Some common sense needs injecting into the whole situation, personally i think weve lost enough of our heritage to keep other people happy.
