Guest oldskool
disgraceful.... i cant understand how anybody could do that to an animal... they could have rehomed it and failing that they could have at least had the decency to put it to sleep...
doxhope 2
I cant get the video to work could be me though Well Kay, just in case you dont get it working, heres the jist of it.. A DOG has been found with his ears cut off and covered in blood in Bedlington. The male black greyhound was found by a member of the public on Monday, April 20, lying down on a grass verge on Bank Top, Bedlington. He was covered in blood and had had both ears entirely removed. He also had pieces of black electrical tape stuck to his legs and on his back. The member of the public took the dog, which was not microchipped or wearing a collar, to Robson & Prescott Veterinary Centre in Morpeth before contacting the RSPCA. The dog is currently recovering at the vet surgery and receiving the vital treatment he needs. Now the RSPCA is urging anyone who knows who the dog once belonged to, or who may have seen or heard anything suspicious, to get in touch as soon as possible. RSPCA inspector Ian Smith said: "This is an horrific and sickening act of cruelty. "It is clear this dog's ears have been removed by a sharp implement, which must have caused him unimaginable pain and distress. "Thankfully he was rescued early and taken to safety, else he easily could have died. "We just hope someone will now come forward with vital information to help us discover what happened. "If anyone was in the area at the time and saw or heard anything suspicious, or if anyone knows who this dog may once have belonged to, we would urge them to contact us as soon as possible." If anyone has any information they should contact the RSPCA National Cruelty and Advice Line on 0300 123 4999 and ask to leave a message for inspector Ian Smith. mad al 146
Now I could react to the feckin scum that did that and you are not alone when you show your feelings and get slated by the "dog folk" of the world, but feck them, the animals always have priority, not nice to see but thanks for the post

Doglost Co-Ordinator 4
Posted info on this earlier in week. The only reason they cut there ears off is to stop them being traced back & it Sticnks. Im not soft just human & anyone that thinks this is acceptable needs there head testing. It s not that long ago that a bitch was found- in pup- ears removed - thrown on a dump site !!!! No wonder most of us prefer animals to people- & its getting worse. I have a link -not posted on here yet of a staffy who had its front feet tightly bound in gaffer tape & thrown into a river to drowned. She has struggled like hell to get free. Sad thing is she was microchipped & prev owners who sold her on never took info of new owners. The ony thing that suffered was the dog as she drowned - you tell me we live in a society of animal lovers. I see different every week
BlueCoyote 0
its cases like this that set animal welfare groups on fire and "justify" them in what ever harsh actions they take. because of a handful of weird sickos they feel like the rest of the world should pay the price- especially since the sickos rarely get caught. a few years ago the authorities found a dog that had been burned to death and chained to a tennis court, also wrapped in a leather jacket. THAT was in my city, and was all over the news and no one payed the penalty for it! which means this person is still walking around loose, free to harm other animals just as cruelly. i'm not sure i would want to hear their reasoning for something like what they did to that poor grey hound. i cant imagine the dog doing anything to deserve something so harsh. in fact the only thing that comes to mind is its some kind of revenge on the dog's owner, otherwise just kill and bury the dog if they didnt want it. collie/grey 238
That is disgusting but i have heard of this happening so many times, especially with ex racing greys. The people that do it should have the same done to them and more. Horrible c***s!

Horrible c***s! i have heard of people taping an ex racing dog's mouth shut and then releasing it in the wild so it would starve to death. but never heard of its ears being removed!
