Kye 77
whey shakes are a good supplement...but they are just that!...a SUPPLEMENT!...there is no such thing as magic postions, and muscles in a pill!..lol...diet, rest and training is the REAL answer to size and strength!! Yeah, you can use dumbells!..some people prefer it, and if your training alone, it is probably safer...just dont drop a heavy weight through your ceiling!..lol. There is a phase called the "Honey-Moon Period"...this is the first six months of training...this is when training and good diet is such a shock to the system that you will DROP body fat (BF) and gain lean body mass (LBM)...this is the period when you make GREAT natural gains, in both size and strength!...it should be taken advantage of fully!..lol..it soon slows down!.. Another handy tip is increase your weight EVERY session...if your benching 100lbs on your first session, then up your weight (while keeping good, strict form) as much as you can...even if it buy as little as a pound each side...your body has NO choice put to adapt!...it must grow! But DONT OVER TRAIN...it is hugley detrimental to your body...most pro's work one body part every 7-10 days...for roughly 45 minutes...you dont need any more than that... Your body dont grow in the Gym, it grows when you sleep and eat...so get plenty of grub and rest...if i have a real hard session i will get some grub in me, shower, eat again, then sleep for as much as 10 hours!!...lol...then i wake up and EAT again!..lol. If you want to loose your gut, CLEAN eating and plenty of CARDIO is the ONLY way to get it done!...100000 sit-ups a day aint gonna do shit if you have 6" of fat covering your abbs!..lol..there is NO way to loose fat in one body part at once...you just have to burn more calories than you consume...so counting calories in EVERYTHING you eat is essentail... Im on a cut, and have lost a good amount (roughly six pounds in two weeks) of fat...i want to get down to around the 175-180lb mark and see what i have, then i may well bulk again...i HATE cutting...i miss my steak to much!..lol....cottage cheese and tuna are great protein choices for people on a cut...cheap and fast to eat....when im bulking for breakfast i will put 10 egg whites, three big tables spoons of peanut butter, and four big spoons of cottge cheese with a little milk in the blender, and just mix it up and down it...you have to start looking at food as FUEL choices, NOT whats tasty and good, but what is good for your body!...if you want results, i realy cant stress how important diet is guys!... Im sure Socks will see this post soon enough, and that man is a FOUNTAIN of info regarding the subject of training the human body...i know about as much as he has in his little finger!..lol. Good luck guys, train hard, rest easy, and EAT...even when your not hungry! Remember...1.5grams of protein, per pound of body weight, every 2 1/2 hours! Kye,..

Kye 77
BorderBoy, even when your bulking, you should realy do 30 minutes three times a week...just to keep your motabalism up...but when on a Bulk, you dont need/want cardio. Im moving in a weeks time, so my training will be kinda f****d up until i get settled...but i will be doing roughly 3x30 minutes cardio sessions a day, starting with a 30 minute run in the morning, with 30 minutes of bag work, and then some skipping etc... Tommy 9
4x5 Bench Press means you do 4 sets of 5 reps. So do a set of 5 reps have a breather and then do another 3 sets having a short break after each set. I would recomend doing a warm up set first of maybe 15-20 reps as jumping straight onto a weight that you can only do 5 reps with would lead to an injury. As well as your protein supplement i would say get some tins of tuna. Great source of protein as well as been easy to prepare. I drain away the fluid and eat the tuna dry, tastes shit but does the job. Also make sure you have a protein shake before you go to bed and when waking in the morning, as after a good 8+ hours of sleep you haven't consummed any protein you need it. All the best Tommy
