tynoprime 0
Hi guys, I'm strongly tempted to go for a Nikko Stirling in my "Cheap AO for 10-30meter shooting" hunt I have a question. Is there any difference between the Nikko Stirling Gold Crown and the Nikko Stirling Mountmaster? The only difference I know of is the mounts and asthetics - but are the optics different? And if so, which one's got the better? Thanks in advance. Quote Link to post
Sterry 0
Never tried the mount master but i do have a gold crown and its pefeect for what i use it for (its currently on my spare gun, but was my first scope for ages) and will do every thing you need. so my advice go for the cheaper one out of the two and say a quid or two Quote Link to post
Deker 3,478
Internal lens arrangement is/was different, minimum focus different..the Gold Crown used to be 20metres MINIMUM focus...not sure if it still is...in brief.. the mountmaster designed for air rifle..the Gold isn't!! Quote Link to post
Sterry 0
My gold has adjustable parralex that goes down to below 10m? is this what you meant or an i being bit thick atm?? Quote Link to post
tynoprime 0
That is what he meant. They've probably changed since Deker had one. Thanks for the posts guys - I think I'll get the Gold AO. Edited May 3, 2009 by tynoprime Quote Link to post
