I'm looking to get a lurcher to eliminate the rabbits living on my land because there numbers have been increasing in recent years and destroying grazing for my horses, i realise there are many types of lurchers and was having trouble finding out which would be best suited to my needs.Thanks, Tarlach.

I considered that but the main reason I want a lurcher is to replace my lab that died last year, my retriever hasnt stopped pinin since

I would considers a collie cross but i would think about the ferrets too.

I'll definitely keep the ferrets in mind becaus i know a few farmers that have rabbits on ground that a lurcher couldnt get to them. Thanks, all the best

whats the land like? are the burrows in bushes? maybe good get a lurcher that dont mind flying threw bushes after them aswell. are you going to be lamping or just hoping the dog will catch them when gets chance
