adam 0
susposed to be good bushing dogs if thats [bANNED TEXT] u into but bit too big for digging with, well the ones ive seen Quote Link to post
Guest Merlin
One the first dogs I went ferretinng was JRT X Spaniel was one the best bushing dogs i ever seen would also draw a fox no problems at all. I suppose its a great cross from good working stuff tho IMO either pure breed could do the same job to the same standard, would say the cross has more brains of course ( not always a good thing lol). mind you dunno if a spaniel would draw a fox lol Edited June 13, 2006 by Merlin Quote Link to post
bobby 3
i dont understand why this cross is not bred more often....common sense tells you there two big for serious earth work...but as a cover working dog nothing will beat them. Quote Link to post
kris 0
A mate of mine had a dog recently that was paterdale/springer, it leaned more to the spinger size but was black with a pat looking head and that was a hell of a good bushing dog but couldn't be kept with another dog as it was a terrible fighter, but a good dog none the less Quote Link to post
Kane 2
If I was seriously into bushing that is the breed I would use tirelless and noisy when on scent,I expect 1 or 2 might try to enter earths but would definatly be less trouble than terriers. Quote Link to post
Guest Side by Side
well i now spanials are used for retriving so would this type be ok... or not.... just courious i am... i was thinking of having him... but i havent got the room.... happy hunting SBS Quote Link to post
lone wolf 0
any dog is what you make it and if it suits your needs and does its job who cares about the cross, regards lone wolf Quote Link to post
Guest rabbiter
I have two bitchs of this cross, both cocker x fox terrier, they are great brushing dogs and will hunt up all day long .They are keen ,very hard workers and have great tracking noses. Another top breed I have seen for great brushing dogs is a beagle x terrier, and I have just mated a pure breed fox terrier to a pure breed beagle . hope to keep two ...if I can make the room.
