well i went down my smallholding thismorning and some f###ers tryed to tip off a hole load of tree rubbish in my gateway i say tryed as they must have had a rope (the thin blue polyrope type) tyed around the rubbish they had then tyed it to my gate and driven off hoping it would pull the rubbish off but it looks like the rope kept snaping so they only left a few brances even so my gate is now bent to f##k and the post has snaped off just under the ground.

so with a new gate (its about 15 feet long) a new post and near on a days work to get it all replaced this little incident has just cost me a good couple of hundred quid, there are some w###ers about.

 

i had a drive about after finding this and found they had done it in someone else`s gateway half a mile down the road the same thing with blue rope but it worked this time, big pile of tree cuttings rope still attached they had tyed the rope in the middle of the gate and this persons gate is now bent aswell (not as bad as mine though)

 

was thinking of getting one of those removible bollards that you concrete in the ground to stop anyone reversing down to my gate or has anyone got any better ideas, mantraps, swivelgun, really big glue board

if you put in removable bolards the ywill just tie the rope to them

good point, i`m just at abit of a loss as to what to do to prevent it happening again, i suppose as i dont live on my holding that there isnt much i can do.

land mines???? the bollard idea could work but as above thay could just use that to tip there stuff

Can you put a dummy camera up so they think you will get their number plate?

i suppose the bollard idea would save my gate, have just had a look at a heavyduty one about quid very solid i would then just have to move their sh#t it would piss me off but at least i wouldnt have the expence of a new gate again.

they might suspect its a dummy as theres no power lines around for electric unless it could be battery powered?

Put a gate up right on the road side, that way the council are responsible for rubbish not you. If the rubbish is on your land the police can not do a thimg about it even if you catch them, you will have to take them to court but if its on council land or roads then the police will take them to court if they have the evedience to do so. You can get motion camers to record of a company called Bushware, not sure how good, they do seem quit cheep.

just put some nails in a piece of wood and put that infront of the gate with muck on top of it so the next time they do it they pop there tyres. if that fails bash them round the head with it.
