lurchergrrl 1,441
I took the dogs out with my friend and her two pointers today, up to the moors to have a run and introduce the pup to the sheep. Today was just a sit and watch session so he could see them and get used to it all. The pup wasn't really to bothered by them. I'm more concerned about breaking him to sheep shit eating than I am to the actual sheep; dirty little git! Here's a few shots from the day. Sheep give me the creeps - the pup actually backed away from this one in fear Gerroff my la-a-a-a-and Thanks for looking Quote Link to post
sandymere 8,263
I like to spend as much time as poss around sheep while they are young till the become part of the furnature so to speak. In my experience the eating muck settles with adding cooked veg to the diet. Pup looks well. Quote Link to post

He doesn't eat any other crap, but seemed to think sheep shit is doggy chocolate  He was too busy eating it to be bothered with the sheep I think NH, that's my 14 week old whippet pup in the third pic down. The black rough bitch is mine too, 18 months old. Quote Link to post

StephOC 6
Your dogs look stunning, but in my opinion, if you going to take dogs anywhere wheres there's sheep at this time of year, they ought to be kept quiet and very close at heel. Quote Link to post

Probably the easiest pup I've ever had. I could hire him out to a groundworks crew tho: he can dig a hole faster than a speeding bullet Quote Link to post
