bosco 3
from what i have learned through this sit and woodga dvd it being pulled tight means it catching its nose the loop mitent b big enough as for knocking over they mite bo setting to far on the path of the run and the rabbit is hitting the tealer . basically the hoop should be 6 1/2 inches to 7 1/2 off the grass if it is short if it very long you can go as high as 8. Make sure the snare is at the right place of the run the wee tuffed part of grass were the rabbit hoppes over not runs on. Sorry i can't be of much more help as i have only been snarein for a week or so but did a fair bit of research thanks Edited May 6, 2009 by bosco Quote Link to post
MR TEA POT 1,287
Make sure the snare is at the right place of the run the wee tuffed part of grass were the rabbit hoppes over not runs on. Set them on the small beat NOT in between the beats, find the one's running in a straight line and place the snare on the centre of the small beat and get the wires high. This one was set at 7 1/2inches and it still was not high enough as you can see by the wire round the belly. Quote Link to post
