Malt 379
Problem is Deb, people like yourself see the RSPCA for what they want to be seen as by the public, an organisation that's there for the sake of animal welfare. Problem is, they've got so many hidden political agendas that aren't seen by Joe Public. Do a quick trawl around the site and see the real RSPCA through they're actions with accounts from folk who have done nothing wrong, there's tons of posts. Two sides to every story & all that. Oh, and welcome to the site!
Guest WILF
And yet you telephone for "help" the very people who would see men like your Dad either put in prison or consigned to the history books!!..........bizarre? She did not telephone them, you daft lump, the dog warden did And to be honest i would have phoned the rspca and did several times years ago before finding out what they were like. You live and learn. Thats me told then ..........does this mean a smacked bottom?...........I do hope so
Guest hyperion
welcome to the site deborah! as sad as it may sound at the end of the day they are only dogs, and unless some one is either caught in the act of cruelty or a legitamate and caring owner of working dogs the R.S.P.C.A or any one else for that matter are unlikely to do any thing about it! if they cant spin it up into some money making headline they dont care! you could always try contacting clive rees! cheers hyperion
foxfan 479
Something does'nt seem quite right here, Sounds to me like a personal fued between you and this woman, I'm sure if we scratch the surface, theres more to it than your concern for dogs that, it's already too late to help. I thought Afghan's were only kept by the landed gentry, not a breed you would expect to find in a neglect/cruelty case.
Tiff 36
do you have a link to any of the articles that have been done on this? It might help prove your case and soothe the doubters that you are genuine
deborah 0
http://65.55.174.215/att/GetAttachment.asp...&oneredir=1 .http://bl138w.blu138.mail.live.com/att/GetAttachment.aspx?tnail=0&messageId=e4a038f4-fc93-4ef8-a16f-d06e838e8441&Aux=44|0|8CB922651CF2870| I dont think for a minute this link thing will work, but I cant upload the article from Our Dogs cos the upload thing is saying the file is too big I am amazed that you should all be SO suspicious of someone just asking for some simple advice. NO Foxfan. I do not have a 'personal feud' with this girl. I have never met her. I simply loathe someone who could be SO needlessly cruel to dogs and horses. STARVATION MUST BE A VERY PROLONGED, PAINFUL DEATH AND IS TOTALLY UNNECESSARY. She only had to pick up the phone and they could have been collected by breeders, rescue, dog warden etc. But, NO, she deliberately starved them to death. The horses had open weeping sores along their spines, and were extremely emaciated. As an animal lover I take that sort of deliberate cruelty very personally. cos it is abhorrant to me how someone could do that!! I FOUND those dogs AND the horses. I SAW what she had done to them, and I am going to make every effort I can to make her pay for that, and if that means taking the RSPCA to task about their crap handling of this, then so be it. I have NO issues about standing up and being counted. I do not bleat about things on forums. I just found this site and Assumed (WRONGLY!!) that having read some articles on here about the RSPCA, that folk on here would be a good source of information about who to contact to help us. Thank you to Hyperion, who suggested Clive Rees. I have his email address now. IF the link thing has worked you will see a photo of the little 'stray' I have taken in. I would copy/paste my 7 1/2 page complaint to the RSPCA but I cant cos it mentions address's and names and again its the bloody data prorection act crap! IF any of you go into a newsagent, you will just have to look through the Dog paper, Our Dogs, and find the article 'Justice for bin bag Afghans, please' (or it may be online) I do not know of one single person in the world of dogs that donates to the RSPCA, and if I can loose them more revenue from the general public then I am happy to do whatever it takes. So Wilf, (who thankfully I cant smell from here!!) rather than just slag the RSPCA off on here and jump down people's throats, how many letters to MP's, the charities commission, the trading standards, the Patrons, and animal charities, WHW, the Kennel Club etc etc etc have you written??? None?? No I didnt think so. You not only have to talk the talk but you have to walk the walk.
Guest hyperion
that pic is awefull! amazes me that people can do things like that to dogs or any other animal! always had a soft spot for afghans hope the poor dog is getting better!, and the best of luck with trying to bring the rspca to book! cheers hyperion

Tiff 36
Deborah unfortunately without any proof to backup what you are saying, some will not (if ever) believe what you are saying. Too many times people have come on here and other forums, impersonating and just plain making up things in order to cook up who-knows-what schemes. do you have a link for the Our Dogs paper? Clive Rees specializes in country pursuits, but he might be able to assist you as it is in regards to the RSPCA who he has fought before. do you have an after picture of what the dog you rescued looks like now? I assume he's been bathed/ clipped/dematted etc and likely looks a lot different! Edited April 30, 2009 by His Wife

Irish Setter 1
..........................Justice for bin bag Afghans, please THE GRUESOME discovery of three Afghan Hounds found dead in bin bags in a Lincolnshire field together with a number of horses in an emaciated state has rocked the Afghan fraternity. The animals were found by EEAC Rescue Officer Debbie Newson on 16th February of this year after she took in an emaciated and matted solid black bitch who, Debbie later found out, was not a stray but in fact belonged to the person who had handed her in. Upon discovering this Debbie made some enquiries and learned that this particular owner had at least another three Afghans, which immediately caused great concern for the welfare of these other dogs. After more enquiries, the rescue officer was led to a field where she came across the grisly find. Three bin bags were found at the scene, all containing the emaciated bodies of three Afghan Hounds - two bitches and one dog. The remains of a horse were also found rolled up in a rug plus several other neglected and starving horses. The RSPCA and the police were called to the scene where the bodies were then placed within the care of the RSPCA who said post-mortems would be carried out. However, since that date there has been little development surrounding the case and Debbie is appealing for all Afghan lovers, owners and breeders to help get justice for these animals, who were the victims of a devastating case of severe cruelty, by contacting the RSPCA and expressing their feelings. Debbie says: I do understand the difficulties that might be presented in planning a prosecution and it is all a matter of collecting evidence that will stand up in a court of law. Why have the RSPCA not chosen to act upon the evidence that they were very much presented with. We know how individuals can get away with human abuse so one can appreciate the difficulties where animals are concerned, especially with clever lawyers, but our breed as a whole must take this matter on board......................................
