TIMMAY 6
Nice looking bosc fella, might have more luck advertising on reptileforums.co.uk . Wouldn't say they are easy to keep though long term due to their potential size!

iguanaman2442 0
People like you do my head in. This lizard has the potential to grow to around 6 foot not an easy to look after lizard if its not friendly. The 4 foot viv will only last this bosc around 8 months if correctly looked after. It will need a viv of around 10x6x4 foot when an adult. Not exactly cheap to feed either. I know all this as i own a large adult bosc and know many other people with them. I have a large rep collection that most rep entusiasts would dribble over got some very rare snakes not blowing my own trumpet just pointing out that im not stiring and i know what im on about. Can you tell me about the setup you have him in please ie stat bulbs what temp is he being kept at whats he being fed. I would suggest that anybody that may be interested in this bosc have a damn good read up on them first.

ferreterni 29
I always would say an average adukt size for a bosc is 4ft, but have potential to go to 6. Either way is a big strong lizard that will eat large food. Too many of these imported and sold young too people with no idea what they are letting themselves into. All the same rewarding to keep if you put the time into them.
iguanaman2442 0
Yes mate as i said potential to grow 6 foot inc tail 4 foot is average but as we all know you get some that are below and some that are above average. But my point is that you can not sell a lizard like that to somebody telling them its a good pet. It will be a good pet for somebody who knows what they are getting them selves into and are prepaired to work with the bosc. These can be very nasty as i know very well LOL. Can i ask what temp your basking spot is please. I dont want an argument mate just dont want another farmed bosc going to somebody who dont know what they are doing there are so many of these in rescues all over the country as shops tell people they are good pets wont get bigger than 4ft very tame when the realitly is totally different. for eg these lizards have a very powerful jaw and they have lock jaw so once they bite there is no getting them off sometimes a bit of vinegar in the mouth works but not always and if a big male bites you your prob gonna loose a finger from the bite never mind the infections after from the germs in the mouth I would suggest that you visit reptileforums.co.uk and advertise it on there but you will need to lower the price mate as thats rather expensive. If i can help you at all just pm me and ill do my best. All the best with the sale and as i say if i can help at all just pm me iguanaman
Simoman 110
IMO Boscs need to owned by someone with experience, beardies and geckos are good beginners lizards but not Boscs, I have 28 inch female who is still growing and took a lot of time and patience before becoming tame.
