John-B 4
I was just thinking of 20 pound, I don't know what good working blood is worth these days, if people are interested and they are going to a good home i will be more than happy to see them go with a donation to my pockets Quote Link to post

storm323 191
20 pound is not to much to ask for a ferret kit you get a good one and there worth their weight in gold Quote Link to post
Malt 379
20 pound is not to much to ask for a ferret kit you get a good one and there worth their weight in gold The two ferrets I started with cost me £7 each. The rest of them were free because I bred, and I don't buy the fact that if you pay more you'll get a good one. My ferrets are as good as the next blokes, whether they're free or £100. Born Hunter 17,798
Never bred before, but will be in a year or so, hopefuly get a tried and trusted line going between me and a few mates. I dont think ill sell any kits, for the little amount that would be raised by the few kits sold i wouldnt bother. I believe strongly in a 'give n be given' attitude to just about everything in life, but particlarly working animals. If i was to give a mate some kits then i would expect to have the offer returned or have the use of a hob to line a jill for free. Same with dogs. And quite frankly anything else, if i give a mate aload of apples for his cider then a few eggs from his chickens is a nice return or what have ya, ya get the idea. Quote Link to post
Guest flapper
A traveling lad asked me £30 for a hob. dispite the fact a mate of mine gave him 8 young the year before. thats the trouble when they want to sell something its right at the top for price when they want to buy it they want it for feck all Quote Link to post
stubby 175
prices will always differ, from free, to what-ever someone is willing to pay, Ive given away free to trusted members from here, or charge between £10 to £15 and if anyone ask's that are under 18yrs, I stipulate a parent must acompany them, advise the parent off what keeping a ferret will take, and also stipulate, that if the "hobby" gets forgotten, I will take the fert back Quote Link to post
howler 0
i get from 25 -150 dollers over here ,as alot of people in places like sydney and big cities love them as house pets ,,,jas Quote Link to post
ferret15 0
as a lot of you know i run a small rescue here and if going to a working home i ask for a donation for ferret food IE rabbits etc or five quid just to help with the on going cost of feeding the rest. if going t a pet home i normally get about a tenner i could get more but i am happy to see them go to new homes as it frees up space for the next lot here and i find it easier to home hobs to pet homes as well. anything i make goes back in to the ferrets for feed bedding new toys etc, so i don't think its much to ask. i might be able to get 20 pounds a ferret if they were going to pet homes but prefer to home to working where i can.
