SEAN3513 7 Posted April 25, 2009 Report Share Posted April 25, 2009 been out tonight to pop the cherry of the s410. didn't get out until 5 ish because had to go to penrith with the SPO. anyway me and 28hodge ( he's just got an s410 aswell) went for a mooch, by gum it was warm and the bunnies were out catching the rays and having a nibble. we spotted a few but they were just out of range and it was so quiet they spooked easily. anyway, wandering back along the river bank we saw a couple of little un's about 8 foot from the hedge, down on one knee and lined up the mil dots and "dumph" a little one for the pot but , bugger, the other one ran off into the hedge. 28hodge spotted some further down and set off in pursuit of them in his usual sniper/stalking mode.......its very impressive and has to be seen !!!....................anyway with his skill and paitence paid off and he bagged another. by this time light was fading and it started to rain so we called it a night. on the way back to the car, we challenged each other to a little bit of fun with a shooting comp.........hit the top bar of a five bar gate at about 60 yards.............we both managed it !!!! cracking couple of hours and what an awesome gun the s410 is....can't beleive ive overlooked them for so long !! all the best sean ( and 28hodge) Quote Link to post

Put them 2 bunnies out last night in the top corner of the field where i keep spotting those 2 magpies, anyway went up at bout 7.30 an the two greedy little f**kers had already ripped them apart they are a right mess, reckon i am going to have to get up a bit earlier, i want those magpies!!!!! Anyway whilst wondering back to the house spotted a wrabbit but it had seen me first and bolted then stopped at the hedge line, bout 35yds, didnt wanna lie down as they seem to spook the second i go into the prone position on this piece of permission so stayed stood and nailed the little bugger, he can go out for bait for my magpies. big lad so he will be tough as old boots!!
