Kay 3,709
I am a member on there & what i find annoying is the comments about '' probably 500 jills bred this year'' meaning people off this site , what is forgotton is the list of folks with vasectomised hobs, the recent posts asking about jill jabs, & the posts asking about castration etc. Note none of the things i highlighted have got a mention, very short sighted some folks who only point out what they want Eddited to add It was highlighted by a moddy on there last week that if folks ask about breeding on there , they wernt to be jumped on from a great hight , looks like that one went out the window If people are driven from boards because there scared to ask questions regarding breeding thats wrong imo , so the sooner some of the '' self appointed experts '' get theres heads from up there arses the better Quote Link to post

I dont fit in there because i dont sugar coat my posts , if people want sickly fluffy crap its fine, but forget ferret keeping as a whole & they forget breedings a big part of ferret keeping as is seasons, photoperiod etc Apart from anything else you will get a cross section of people on a forum like this who will know a little bit more than anyone else about a given '' ferret subject'' so all in all everything will be covered by the members who partisipate in this section of the forum so i dont feel the need to go elsewhere from this point on Quote Link to post

Sterry 0
Not being funny but...surely these people came to owner there ferrets by someone breeding them? I think your completely right; as long as you can home them and it wont affect the health of the jill then go for it, tbh if i bred ferrets i wouldnt even be fussed if they went to working homes or not as long as they were looked after. droid 11
I used to be very anti-breeding, but as someone famous (whose name eludes me) said: 'as the facts change so my opinions change'. That was part of the reaon for joining THL, to get the other side. I still can't see why it's neccessary for some to breed from more than one jill, or breed every year, but I've certainly moderated my opinions on breeding after reading some of the more responsible posters on here. stealthy1 3,964
If you could make money out of ferrets, we would all be full time ferreters. Quote Link to post
coneycatcher 0
aaahhhhh what an awful site its a fluffy ferret pet lovers site full of saintly pet owners and rescue workers....... dont get me wrong i aint slagging off rescue workers but i could only stomach reading the first page of that tripe. it was like sitting in on a bible lovers class all up ya nose and just horrible there was a lot of moaning about how unwanted bred working ferrets fill the resue centres every year.....but when asked why they do this job its for the love of the animal but if over breeding didnt go on they wouldnt have enough numbers to run a welfare centre and get the job fulfilment they get . its like opening a sweet shop and then complain about the amount of kids you get in. just let them stick to their site and we will stick to ours........long live THL Quote Link to post
