Ollie's progress

Recommended Posts

We got Ollie in february as a rescue with the idea of using him to flush to the lurchers, he was between 7mths to a year and supposed to be a border x. He is a bit big at 16 tts and started out a nightmare, he knew nothing and had barely had any contact with other dogs. He acted like a 8week old puppy in a huge body!

Anyway, he has been a real struggle and driven me and my OH up the wall but has started to come good. Its mainly thanks to a member of this site who has kindly taken my out with his pack of bushing terriers who, in turn, have shown Ollie the ropes :notworthy: . Today he caught hs first adult bunny without any help from the lurchers and then retrieved it to me :toast: . The others were chasing rabbits out in the field and one ran back past them and him he saw it and after a short chase dived into the hedge as it made for a hole and grabbed it. Its the first time the lurchers have flushed anything for the terrier to catch

It may not sound much compared to some of the stories on here but I was very pleased! :D I got a picture to post but cant find the cable for the camera so that will have to wait til tomorrow.
