Beretta 686 special or 687 sporter

Hey, bit similar to many threads but I was wondering if anyone had any views/experiences on these two specific guns or could you give me a bit of info on them? Its my first SG, both multi-chokes. Also, anyone know what the difference is between a standard 686 and a 686 special

alright mate ive got the 686 special. beautiful gun handles well,nice and balanced .as always with beretta you get what you pay for and that is sheer quality. sorry couldnt tell you the difference between the special and standard but there must be a difference even if it isnt much.

hi i have a 686E very good gun the 686 special is all in the engraving or how many is made from 1 to 1000 you will see on the gun

686e black 30" sport, use it for ferals and when sat in a hide and it's great. I agree though it's a bit heavy when out for a wander though. Over all a great gun.

Had a 686S for years. Absolute beauty! 30" barrels choked full and three quarter. Originally non auto safety and non selectable, i.e. a dedicated trap gun. Had mine converted to auto safety and selectable to use in the hide. Best shgotgun I ever bought, but that was a long, long time ago in the mmid eighties.
