adam1 2
I was at a friends livery yard the other day and they asked me to show them how to zero their 22 AA S410 in, its been that long since they used it they've forgottern,(yes i know ) so i got on with it, it was a bus ride out and i dont recon it's been done since last time i did it,(i was putting pellet after pellet in the same hole at 30 yds) however it seemed to be getting there then just started throwing pellets just as far out in the other direction, its the horizontal where the problem is, the scope is a Hawke nighteye 3-9 x 50 on decent quality mounts (cant remember the make) its fitted with an AA silecer. The scope and mounts are tight. the pellets are AA hunter Ive brought it home to have a proper go at it but not had time yet,so any pointers before i start would be appreacated. Quote Link to post
BBB 7
make sure the silencer is not loose, check the baffles in the silncer aswell . a mates gun done this before and the baffles in the silencer were not inline properly. Quote Link to post
tynoprime 0
make sure the silencer is not loose, check the baffles in the silncer aswell . a mates gun done this before and the baffles in the silencer were not inline properly. Before even that, take the silencer off completely and try then. It sounds like the pellets are hitting the break, so take it off and see what your groupings are, then put it back on. Same problem? camies 1
scope mounts tight? scope dropped / used on a springer and thrashed to death / adjusted one way too far and damage to the adjuster? One person I helped had unscrewed the AO parallax lens and eye focus rings so far out that the threads were knackered (he wanted to see inside the scope). Felt tight at first check but rattled a tiny bit when shooting. Barrel loose? metal not bedded in correctly and the stock screws loose? loose silencer / baffles / or just misaligned? Drop the silencer off as a confidence check whilst sighting in but remember that the POI might change when it is refitted. If the fault is PURELY horizontal and you've checked all the rattles, try another scope. Quote Link to post

nasher1 258
Check the barrel band isnt loose only takes a gnats fart on a S410 to knock it out, also you could try cleaning the barrel Quote Link to post
SEAN3513 7
also , try using domed pellets as they are more consistent then pointed pellets. all the best sean Quote Link to post
