bird 9,887
Spot on mate, its feckin pain in the arse in the summer time, you dont see the wankers in the winter . Any lurcher+ terrier, thats been worked can do alot of feckin Damage to another dog. My dog as a very soft+nice temp, and i like to keep him that way. He is 1x collie grey 24ins 58lb, and he is a strong+fit dog. You seem to meet 2 types dog owners [ macho, idiots.] I always keep him on the lead, when i see another dog. The one thing i try to do, is not go to public places ....... taking a dog for a walk, should be a pleasure, not a feckin nightmare
Guest little lurcher
today turned a corner , 3 legged italian greyhound on lead being walked by my 4 yr old son , staff , huge i must add , full harness and owner with compulsory gold chain , launchs at them , i had to push the 2 kids into road and kick my own dog to get it away from the snarling piece of shit , to be told oh he is ok just hates other dogs FFS!!!!! thern he loose ties it so no one can get in or out of the shop to get his scratch card as its giro day , no wonder the world is getting breed prejudidice with wankers like that about we work hard to have our dogs trained and responsive to commands , is it so much to ask joe public to do the very basics??? pack of dogs 34
A think there the same were ever you go,ive got greyhounds aswell and when you bump into them they never ever seem to think about putting leads on them you get a daft yorkshire terrier come running towards you barking then the owner will shout it only wants to play.its funny tho when you shout back yours might but these will kill it they soon change there actions then, end of the day its there dog that would come worse off and they dont realise this, its also a bad way for dogs to pick up injuries with all the jumping and twisting and when the leads get tangled around your dogs legs anything could happen

steadfastcoursing 0
Why not try and socialise your dogs properly? I have had working patts, fells, lakelands all fine with other dogs.

Irish Setter 1
I get this all the time, most recently in Thetford forest walking two dogs on lead. A couple came round the corner with a loose border collie, as soon as the collie clocked my dogs I shouted for them to call their dog in, they ignored me and the collie came at both my dogs at full speed and launched into the biggest one. A boot in the ribs just made him run around and attack the dogs from behind. It took a good boot in the head to make him think again and run back to the owners who were twittering on about I did'nt need to kick him They got an earfull and buggered off I now cary a nice whippy stick and I have no hesitation in using it on any dogs who come at my lot Setter

lady-hunter07 15
I was actally talking about this to some one last night on the phone. People who think they can control there dogs when out walking them on a lead, but yet of all a dog can turn at any moment. It might not be your or your dogs fault but yet of all you get the blame, and your not the one with the dog off the lead. Lady-hunter

Right, then you should know about pack behaviour then, especially in hunting dogs. (Not all dogs love eachother). I've run a small pack of patt's, very well socialised, but if a stranger starts then its a pack effort to kill it. Its hassle to have strange dogs just come over, especially when you have dogs that are born killers. If you knew about pack behaviour then you would understand that if you are the alpha male you are incharge of your pack, my dogs snap at other dogs, but if i tell them to stop, they stop, or are made to stop.
