sycamorebirds 6 Posted April 21, 2009 Report Share Posted April 21, 2009 hi all, I have been given a tasco 3-9x40 scope which apparentlyhas an illuminated reticle. however the battery has gone flat. Sterry 0 Posted April 21, 2009 Report Share Posted April 21, 2009 Not sure if yours is the same, but one my one, on the little "knob" on the top where you adjust the brightness (nearer the eye peice) and it can be undone with a flat head screw driver then just pop the battery out (watch type) with a tooth pick after unscrewing the holder for it. when putting the new one in i have to be bit careful where i position the holder as this affect the switch so it dont correspond to the dial on the knob ...but thats just me being pidantic you cant see the number when you need the illuminated reticle.
