borntoshoot 1
ok first of all i dont want to start an arguement! i just decided to ask who agrees it is a good idea to stop puppy peddlers/ dog dealers and stop chavs getting hold of dogs to make them look "hard" so who thinks its a good idea? Guest jt750
I think with problem dogs and i'm not talking just the banned breeds ..lurchers ex racing greys and staffies included ..you should have to prove by attending courses to get your license that you are a fit and proper person to own a dog. Every dog owner by law should have their dogs spayed unless they have an extension to their license to breed and by having that license need to prove they are fit people to breed their dogs. I'm not talking extortionate costs for this. I also think it should be compulsory for anyone with a criminal record (apart from the trivial motoring offenses) should be banned for a compulsary period of time from keeping these breeds,
Sterry 0
Deffinatly a good idea. mainly because of the said chavs getting dogs to look " 'ard!" nd i dont think thats fair to the dog and is dangerous to others, im not saying all dogs like staffs are dangerous but its how they are brought up. and those who dont excercise their dogs really get on my titts as well. Irish Setter 1
Do people honestly think that chavs with their muscle dogs and drug dealers with their protection dogs and dog fighters with pits etc are going to tootle down to the post office once a year like good little boys and pay for a dog licence The only people who would be hit by the expense of compulsory licencing would be respectable law abiding people. As for restricting people who can and can't breed their dogs, who would police this?? The RSPCA?? Again there are puppy farms all over this country churning out sick pups to stupid buyers and the RSPCA can do nothing about them, once again it is repuptable responsible breeders who would be hit with that sort of legislation. The RSPCA is riddled with PETA types who if they had their way would have us all vegetarian and there would be no domestic animals at all, no food animals, no pets. Rant over
Sterry 0
It may seem im goin back on myself but Setter you do make a very good and probable argument. and it would be us lot being whacked with it all and those getting off scot free.
littletimmy 71
Stupid law that would be unenforcable and criminalise alot of people
bullx 12
God dog license,s.what do they look like,i heard about them but never had the chance to ever see one,
mbrydenuk 14
bad idea ,you would just be giving rspca (spca) more powers because they would have to be part of it. first there would be licencing then thay would think thay could just come to the door of anyone that thay had down as having a few working breeds just for a look ,thay then see a dog with a little cut and want them off you ,no way

Rant over i agree with you there bud and if you think about it all the puppy farms are LICENCED breeders anyway they get there licence from the council that in its self proves that a licence system would not work however i would be in favor of a licence for banned breeds so peoplke could own them if they wished

Everyone's entitled to an opinion ...i'm just p1ssed off when i've been to a dog shelter that rehomes animals and nigh on every effing dog is a lurcher/ greyhound type or a staffie or staffie x type and the ones that are picked up roaming around are in a disgusting state of health. Whats your answer to this problem ? or don't you see it as being a problem
