RaiderBoy 19 Posted April 21, 2009 Report Share Posted April 21, 2009 well its basically as above I went out with my airgun about 7.30 and managed to miss a wood pigeon and every rabbit i seen run away as soon as i raised the gun and they were about 40 yards away . on the last two i seen i ducked down in the grass were they couldent see me and they still fecking run im getting so pissed off about this now is it something i am doing or are the rabbits just very shy in my area any advise would be much appresiated Raiderboy Quote Link to post

Keep into cover eg. hedgelines. stalk slowly and very quietly. if it is sitting up stay still and low. for pigeons make a hide and wait. also try this with rabbits set up 30yrds form warren downwind and wait. Make very slow, quiet movements. Keep the wind in your face, don't have anything rattling around in your pockets, tread softly and stick at it! Quote Link to post

shaun sale 0 Posted April 21, 2009 Report Share Posted April 21, 2009 hey mate dont get down practice practice practice find what works for you.take your time try diffrent ways of stalking then practice practice some more.al of us have are off days and none off us got to be gud hunters over night dont forget hunting with a air rifle gota be the hardest shooting disapline of them all your liminted on range and on power compaired to live rounds . always learn from your missed shots and spooked rabits .hope this helps happy hunting and gudluck.
