Move downwind. Keep into cover eg. hedgelines. stalk slowly and very quietly. if it is sitting up stay still and low. for pigeons make a hide and wait. also try this with rabbits set up 30yrds form warren downwind and wait.

i walk pretty slow and as quiet as i can and ive tried the thing with the warrens and there is so many warrens for such a small area i still havent shot my first rabbit. i think the problem is that i have to learn all this for myself because i have no family or freinds that do this and i dont know if im making a mistake. i really need someone to show me the ropes.

Be patient mate, if it takes you 15 minutes to get close enough to take your shot, then it's 15 minutes well spent. Make very slow, quiet movements. Keep the wind in your face, don't have anything rattling around in your pockets, tread softly and stick at it!
