Although if you wanted one for beating or something not too fancy I would perhaps bring one inside to dry that bit quicker. Don't let it get too warm though or it will split, then you could leave it as long as possible before working on it just before you needed it. If you cut some more each year then you always have some to work on when the mood takes you. Ade Quote Link to post
nimrod 0 Posted May 23, 2009 Report Share Posted May 23, 2009 Ive been faffing at making skicks for about a year now, some good some not so ... but i coat mine with tru oil ... or sanding sealer, great finish and waterproof. I have a few 6ft blackthorn staffs still seasoning, marked more shafts for next year ... johnnie Quote Link to post
