riggers 2
I will start my story from the beginning I apologize for the spelling grammar ect so take a deep breath and join me in my adventure ok so you all know im new to stalking and you also all know I was desperate to go on stalk my night in shining armour in his silver jimmy was "remmy" who kindly agreed to take me out and show me the ropes ok I will now begin the story I got up at 0400am after rubbish sleep and made myself some breakfast polished my boots and jumped into the disco to head and meet remmy for 0530am at a top secret meeting point left my disco there and jumped into daves jimmy we then headed out, on the way remmy said ok don't know what you already know so I will tell you how I go about and what to do and not to do, start as you mean to go on it was really refreshing having some one who knew exactly what was to be done ok so we got out the car and remmy said you got gloves I thought bugger no so he lent me pair of his which were like putting pillows on my hands but I understood why I had to wear them so we progressed to the first point where remmy was telling me here he had seen a nice buck the night before, so in stealth mode arrived at location noting there so we got back to the car and off to the next bit of ground as on the way there a young spiker and a doe bounced across the road my heart leapt into my mouth and could feel my heart beating faster and faster watching them clear the road was amazing, any way we arrived at the next spot and as soon as we got out the car we spotted 2 does munching down the new plantation and one was very interested in something in the trees we couldn't see anything we waited till they had gone then moved slowly down the field glassing it as we went along then from our left a buck bounced down through the trees that's what the does were looking at remmy said bugger it anyway we continued down and into a valley remmy said wait here and I will have a look so I crouched down and waited I watched a remmy glassed the whole area with precision he then called me forward and we were looking in to the valley soon as we done that a buck was hidden by some gorse bushes, it was right in front of us I could here it barking and remmy said that's just a, I have no clue what you are but I will bark anyway bark, and not a warning bark which he explained in great detail including the noise which was great cause you don't get that in dvds any way we walked back up the field and walked all through a nice plantation the sun beating like heck and I was starting to sweat I was so excited I saw a flash of white and whispered to remmy there he said chill its a hare I said oh thinking bugger, we then continued through the plantation and could see where a deer had been munching on the grass as the dew was lifted from its path we saw some tree damage from fraying then as we reached the bottom of the ride I saw two you young bucks in the trees Dave didn't see them so I slowly pointed at them as son as we turned they were off bugger so that's seven we saw ok so we walked back up the ride and had a look down another strip nothing so we walked back to the car. and headed back to my car after a wee detour seeing more deer in there fields not part of daves ground got back to my car and thanked Dave for a fantastic morning really learned a lot he then said I might go back out tonight if you want to come I said yes please now well and truly hooked in this stalking carry on.few hours passed and night time arrives so I met Dave at 1830pm we were after the big boy he said so we arrived at location and moved to a nearby hilltop 138yds from the wood line and watched couple of hours passed and getting eaten alive by midges and out popped a doe munching on the grass Dave started to prepare incase the big boy appeared I was glassing the doe and then out he popped I was shaking like hell Dave moved position slowly and the buck looked up I couldn't believe how sensitive there hearing was any way it popped back into the wood but stayed in sight munching along the tree line revealing itself, every now and again my heart was racing and I was shaking like mad, Dave cool as as a cucumber takes his glove off settles down and then boom off goes his remmy I could see the shot hit bang on just behind the shoulder up it jumped then off into e trees wow now I was break dancing and looked at Dave who was now shacking and laughing at me shaking we waited and glassed the wood for five mins and then we walked down to the wood Dave said always go o where you shot the beast so we did and like a blood hound Dave was on the blood trail on his hands and knees like an apache Indian then he was off I followed and there 40 yards up a steep bank was the big boy dead a fine looking beast really nice head so I shook daves hand wow what an experience I thought that was awesome we took the buck back to where it was shot and Dave talked me through the gralouch with great detail we posed for a couple of pics and then back to the car as we come out the wood I spotted a doe munching further up the tree line she spotted me and was off bugger my heart still racing a memory that will be with me the rest of my life and a new good friend and mentor what a day I can only say many thanks to dave for his mentoring and kindness for taking me out and allowing me to experience what I can only explain as amazing still shaking typing this now any way hope you enjoyed my first stalk long may there be more this time me on the trigger when I am ready.
