Close encounter raises concerns about wolves

Sorry people! But i am afraid that if a dog of mine sacrificed its life for mine, i would have to take instant and effective revenge!

I agree! I wonder what Rey would do if that wolf turned into a family group and started ripping his dog apart.

It all depends on the situation. Running into wolves is just part of where I live. So is running into bears and cougars. I would not go and hunt down a wolf that injured or killed one of my dogs, but I would defend one of my dogs that was in a fight with a wolf or any other animal. The wolf is part of the local environment and me and my dogs are intruding upon it. The wolf is just being a wolf and defending itself and its territory. If I wanted to make sure that I would never run into a wolf, bear, cougar, deer, Elk or Moose, all of which could injure or kill a dog, I would walk in a city park. Like I said I don’t walk with less than 3 dogs now, 3 can put up a good fight with a wolf, and if the wolves become a problem, I will carry a gun on my walks to protect myself and my dogs, but I do not want the wolf removed from the environment again.
