danebrewer10 6
semi auto's arent liked in the clay world.......but saying that shot guns are just a bit of tube with some wood at one end...i wouldnt blow alot of money on one they are all as accurate as another......think years ago they were called blunded busts.... /\ l l l AAH hate this- I can never understand why people don't like them! as long as you carry it barrel upward, bolt open and a flag in it surely it is as safe as any other gun? anyways, I would have a look at a second hand or new benelli, with the right stock and 24 gm cartridges, they can shoot as softly as a beretta, but to be honest, berettas don't recoil AT ALL to me that is wheras with a benelli it's generally lighter and much easier to clean, fewer its to take apart and get lost... ( i do like a clean gun),errrm semi is they way to go for softness, though you might want to have a look at the Hull cartridge Comp X loads in 21gm and 24gm, I shot a 21gm version through my side by side a while ago and it was as soft as a semi... still breaks things if you point it in the right direction.... as for O/U's, have a look at lanber, as i'm sure others have said, great value, or bettinsoli.... as for swapping chokes all the time, well i won't go there Have fun! SportingShooter 0
Personally, I'd make things easier for myself, with one gun that is universally accepted nowadays, an O/U rather than the hassle of breach flags, barrels held high, funny looks and snobbery. Just seems the easier option to me. Beretta, Browning, Miroku for me Quote Link to post
