How can you say each to their own. Have you any idea how long a dog fight goes on for. There sick to let dogs fight, ripping eack other apart all the while with big smiles on there faces drinking beer and goading on the winner for 45 minites plus.

 

 

To come to those conclusions you have done one of two things.......either attended a dogfight where this happens or watched a tv program with edited, biased footage of people who cant be described as true dogmen.....where this happened.

 

 

So your either a dogfighter with no idea or a blinkered Joe Public who has double standards.....i'm alright Jack.

I must be the blinkered joe public, but remember that it was joe public that stopped hunnting with hounds, coursing and even hunting rabbits unless you have written permission. What next?

So please tell us all, exactly how dose a dog fight go on and please don't cut any corners, like the fact that their are people who steal dogs like labs and put them against pitts to make them winners from the start. Why is it banned? Please tell us in your very own positive alternative way why its ok to let pitt bulls fight.

You are the one that is slinging the assumptions and 'facts' for that matter......so you please show me where these facts come from and on what they are based ?

 

And as you have stated you are a 'blinkered Joe Public'.......i think open minded discussion would not be forthcoming on your part so i'll give the explanations a miss.

I know for fact what I have stated, but how can I show you over the internet facts.

 

I am very opened minded on everything and would love for you to discuss with me and give the explanation that might change my view on dog fighting to a level ware I could say, yea, its ok, but its not for me.

 

 

The public dont pass laws the government does. The public can ask for law change.

 

You know for fact what you have stated is true ?.......if you cant show the facts on here well an explanation will suffice.

 

I have no need or wish to change your mind, heaven forbid. My problem lies with people who seemingly know nothing about a subject spouting about it......at present you have nothing to back up your wild accusations so from where i'm standing you fall into this category.

I did not say that the public could change the law.

How on earth can I show you over the net the people that i know who do this. Police have trouble proving things!

As I asked for you to explain your self first and give me a view on it, please were all waiting.

 

And just to add a few questions, how many countries allow dog fighting? and why was it that pitt bull are banned in so many countries?

Aye that and wanting to tie up parliament with a distraction because they were under fire due to the Iraq war.

 

WB, don't presume to speak for everyone. I've got my own personal feelings about dogfighting, but I wouldn't dream of slagging someone else for theirs, just because it's different to my own. It's something I know feck all about, and don't intend finding out, but each to their own.

 

People should know better than to believe the media's twisted tales of things that they barely understand.

 

This place never ceases to amaze me, it was the same when somebody posted a thread about bull fighting on here. They're quick to decry others because they don't agree with what they get up to, but when their chosen pursuit/way of life gets put in the spot light, all hell breaks loose.

When did you ever see a begging TV ad for one of these groups that said anything about hunting?..........theye are allways "help poor tiddles or he will die" type adds, so no, public opinion had nothing at all to do with the ban

Hello Stig.......i appreciate and understand your thoughts on a subject i make no claim to know too much about in all honesty ( hunting )....it interests me to the point where i,ll occasionally tag along with a few likeminded folk and i like to learn about anything that interests me,hence why i read a lot off this site and i certainly make no great claims as a hunter.........however,i think you have either misread....or not fully understood my post....probably my fault as my incessant drivel can often cause folk to fall asleep while reading so not your fault really.....

Now.........if you read my post again you will note my thoughts on the subject today are very different to what they was 5 or 6 years ago....hunting didnt really interest me years ago because AT THAT TIME i felt it to be bullying etc etc etc....but like ive said,when i then started going out with a few fellas who knew their stuff it began to interest me and i learned from them and from this website also that what i thought back then is actually wrong.......and Stig i totally agree with your thoughts and opinions regarding hunting......i was naive back then about hunting,but we all have to learn about something before we can make a rounded judgement and my opinions on it today are not what they were back then......so we are in fact in agreement ..........

As regards the fighting thing im not sure i could agree its not needed as you say....no i suppose as a competetive sport its not needed no....but is any animals desire to do what it was bred to do for many many years needed ?....hunters hunt....fighters fight
