firepower 68
Ok just spotted this scope at Catton today. How do you think it will perform against a Nightforce or S&B in the bambi bowling world ? Rep said £2000 mark for it so it had better be superb Edited April 19, 2009 by firepower Quote Link to post
Jonty 0
Too big and heavy to be carting around if you're up on a hill Quote Link to post
v-max 2
Personally & think in low light etc NF are crap & S&B are exelent other than price on there PM11 & 34mm tube with that the mounts for 34mm is £200 +. The zeiss seem to be very well priced for scopes they offer & i think the scope you mention is too much scope for you . I would look at there 6x24x56 models with illumination ret only £1299 or that & you save money & will be an exelent all rounder from target/lamping/stalking low light etc. Quote Link to post
Mr_Logic 5
If you're shooting deer, these are overkill. A deer is a large target so doesn't need that much mag. Zeiss is a very good scope, and all the other German/Euro makes. Re Nightforce - they ARE good in low light, my 5.5-22x56 is very crisp and clear. Quote Link to post
firepower 68
Sorry dont get me wrong. I think that NF are overkill for what I need to hit a deer at 100 yards or so. 8x56 is fine by me I just wondered how the Zeiss optics would perform in low light conditions compared to the NF and S&B considering that it is so expensive Quote Link to post
