Rhianlouise 0
My friend have me a muzzle for my ferret as 2x it has been down the hole, the rabbit havent bolted and its mauled it inside on the back of its neck. Im a bit wary on using this as he might be in a hole where he got one tasty opponent. Never know it could be mink or a vry fiesty rat. So by not putting the muzzle on him i think at least give him a fair chance to fight for his life. What do other ferreters think? Quote Link to post

Malt 379
Bin it. They used to use them years ago, but then they also used to pull the ferrets teeth out. Tell your mate to give their ferrets a good feed the night before working, then a snack in the morning. It might help slow the ferrets work down, but then it might not. Also tell your mate to be very quiet and still while the ferrets in the ground, and to stay out of sight behind the holes, as not to spook the rabbits. Quote Link to post
earthpig 0
give the ferret a good feed the night [bANNED TEXT] going out and a small meal in the morning ,be as quiet as possible [bANNED TEXT] and whilst netting up if you run one in net up and have 5 a cuppa or something , i always have taken a small snack to offer also at half day , but more important give regular offer of water as they can get really thirsty when out working , try it you will see a difference not many people take water for their ferrets and remember the carry box plenty of room and nice clean bedding every trip , clean quarters at home all make for a relaxed ferret Quote Link to post
The one 8,467
Theres more than rabbits found in a burrow and how can a ferret defend its self with a muzzle on so what if it grabs a rabbit or even kills it thats what a locators for Quote Link to post
Coneytrappr 30
I can't believe that people still do this. Throw the muzzel in the bin- it has no place in a modern ferreter's rabbiting kit. If your ferret is muzzeled it will be completely helpless. Feed the ferret before working, be as quiet as possible whilst netting up etc. And tell your friend to f**k off with the muzzels. Ron Weasley 83
DO NOT EVER USE A MUZZLE ON A FERRET. Just don't do it, it's a horrible horrible thing to do. Quote Link to post
