What type of mesh?

Just buildi a hutch for a couple of Ferrets, just wondering what mesh to use on the door?

I thought chicken wire may not be any good and fancied weldmesh only trouble is ive been told you have to buy in 6mtr long rolls

What do you use?

3/4"x3/4" is a good size, in a heavy grade wire, chicken wire can be bittern through, let me know what sort of sizes you need, as Ive got bits spare

Some garden centres sell it off the roll. Just work out what you need, then they'll pull it off and cut it for you.

Welded mesh is more secure & harder for scumbags to try to cut .If you can pick some up building site,scrapyard it might be worth double meshing as i have done on my court.

Used the same 3/4"x 3/4" as stubby for my latest cages, my pressent hob destoyed the roll up stuff, so I bought 6ft x 3ft sheets, cost £4 per sheet direct from the factory outlet, lesson learnt.

my mesh was sourced from railway fencing cheap and highly versitile lol

good old wilkos you be suprised what you find in there! and way cheaper than anywhere else. It's my new favourite shop was saying on another thread i been buying jeyes fluid 1ltr from countrywide for £10.49 then i was in wilkos the other day and seen a 1ltr exactly the same for £5.49 i know where i'll be getting it from in future.
