the actual tunnel is ok but you do need to have excluders in place so you are within the law, narrow the entrance so that onlty target animals will gain entry and thus avoid incedental catches :victory:

 

maybe just scrap the wooden base and extend the end wires then you can set the trap and shove thetunnel over the top

strap a fenn to it then nail it to a long board, and put it over a stream. you get a lot of stuff on a rail trap if you have it at the right bit.

 

 

do you know if that works on rhynes and ditches like i have down here in somerset and would rabbits use one??

been using tunnels like that for years mostly for squirrels, i would use better mesh, use 1inch or even half inch weld mesh.

 

you can also just take lengths of mesh out on jobs , with no wood floor, and just bend them over a trap on a run. easy peasy.

for squirrels it would be great for tunnel trapping id still dig it into the ground and cover the floor with earth etc...in principle the josh its a cracker [bANNED TEXT]...it would work really well covering the top and sides with leaves etc specially tunnel trapping in woodland etc... jood job mate!!!
