whippeter69 88
Bit bored and thought id make some fig 4 tealers and also had an idea to make a tunnel for a FENN MK 4. Just wondering is this tunnel legal? Quote Link to post
00taz11 39
i dont know about the legal part but im going to make one cheers for the idea Quote Link to post
woodga 170
the actual tunnel is ok but you do need to have excluders in place so you are within the law, narrow the entrance so that onlty target animals will gain entry and thus avoid incedental catches Quote Link to post
whippeter69 88
Thanks Woodga, will tend to my tunnel tomorrow lol. will put two wire lengths in the middle of the open spaces on each side and im going to make another one too to morrown will get some more pics up 2moz Quote Link to post
stubby 175
Id re think the design, as although you need to narrow the ends, to stop non target species entering, you also need to beable to get the trap in and out Quote Link to post

Bobba_fett 117
strap a fenn to it then nail it to a long board, and put it over a stream. you get a lot of stuff on a rail trap if you have it at the right bit. Quote Link to post
kingkeeper21 2
the only thing i would do mate is if you were going to keep the wooden base is cut a square out of it so the fenn trap will slot in you dont want it too proud of ground level. Quote Link to post

TOMO 26,779
been using tunnels like that for years mostly for squirrels, i would use better mesh, use 1inch or even half inch weld mesh. you can also just take lengths of mesh out on jobs , with no wood floor, and just bend them over a trap on a run. easy peasy. Garypco 3
for squirrels it would be great for tunnel trapping id still dig it into the ground and cover the floor with earth etc...in principle the josh its a cracker [bANNED TEXT]...it would work really well covering the top and sides with leaves etc specially tunnel trapping in woodland etc... jood job mate!!!
