salukiwhippet 6
Hi Folks, Looking at getting a mk3m ferret finder, but as I already have a few mk1 collars, I'm keen to know whether the mk.3 reciever will pick them up? I think I read somewhere it does, but I can't find any reference to it now! Thanks in Advance, James Quote Link to post

salukiwhippet 6
Cor, that was quick! What's range and accuracy like? Is it just the same as using the mk.1 collar? Really don't want to buy in a whole new setup if I can just add collars! James Quote Link to post

James the accuracys not to bad if you buy mk3m collars then you can upgrade to mk3m box when the mk1 box dies then not too much to spend at once Quote Link to post
salukiwhippet 6
That was my thinking AS! I do alot of thick hedgerows with a mate, me one side, him the other, so I like us to have a box each, saves a lot of pushing through blackthorn or chucking boxes over hedges. I'd therefore need 2 boxes, at least 4 collars....soon mounts up!!!! James Quote Link to post
John-B 4
I'm still getting to grips with my mk3 locator box, I find it easy to see where the ferret is but haven't quite got the hang of the pinpoint yet, Col who I go ferreting with still uses a mk1 setup and I can pick up his collars as accurate as he can, until i get the hang of the mk3 we always check with the mk1 box before digging Quote Link to post

salukiwhippet 6
Yeah, I meant if i had to buy a whole new setup, I'd need to get 2 boxes etc. As it turns out, just collars! Happy days! Thanks for all the replies James Quote Link to post
