Im using a Canon EOS 40D, and the lens I used here was a Sigma f/2.8 70-200mm.

 

 

Thanks for the info, i'm just looking myself to take the plunge into the ocean of the SLR, looks like i'll be kicking off with a 450d.... but that sigma is the exact same lense i've been looking at ( and reading loads of reviews ) to go with it :) , glad you put those piccys up Dawn... its answered a lot of questions for for me, how do rate the lense, from a wildlife/ sports point of view? I know the canon equivalent is a hell of lot more money :icon_eek:

The lens is very good, Im delighted with it. I couldnt justify over £1000 for the Canon equivilent, and its quick focusing too. Its great for wildlife, but obviously its 200mm, and Im thinking of getting a 2x converter to improve the distance a little. Look forward to seeing your pics.

You'll enjoy it, they fly about 15 Birds over the day, right in front of you.
