wife 1
well done mate really good catches there, i never seem to have much luck sea fishing. What rigs did you get them on? cheers Joe not had much luck this year myself mate either, with all the netting that is going on things are getting worse for the beach caster, the rigs i use are pulley rigs for distance casting and for close in work i use a wishbone set up,i always fish 2 rods 1 out as far as i can cast and another anything between 50 yards and 100 yards,i caught this one below on the close in rod ,i cast around 50 yards ,caught it on whole squid http://img286.imageshack.us/img286/1012/32small8ed.jpg Quote Link to post
Danny-Macca 0
nice one mate some nice fish there Quote Link to post
wife 1
that is a nice fish, how much did it weigh? your right about all the netting its awful that they continue to let it go on its got to stop some time soon. weighed in just over the 11lb mark, was fishing cardiff foreshore not so long back and there was a trawler going past no further than 300 yards from the shore line, they are only allowed to come in so close ,all the anglers on the beach were yelling abuse to it,like you said something got to be done, and then they on about rod lisences for sea fishing, this goverment tries to tax you on everything you do,one of the only things in fishing where you do not have to pay day ticket for is sea fishing, its a joke, also how can they possibly police it,i know 1 thing i wont be paying for no rod lisence, will see if i can find some more pics ,tight lines Quote Link to post

wife 1
gd fish i know what you mean about the trawlers coming in close ive seen them a couple of times in real close, my cousin who used to do alot said he saw the same thing regularly. How much of a change have you noticed in your catch rates of beaches over the years? I havent been doing it long enough to say but alot of the lads i go out with reckon some of the catches they used to have would be impossible now. Cheers Joe have noticed a big change in the last couple of seasons i,years ago used to go out and have a couple of 5 lb cod in a night, these days get maybe 1 and a handful of whiting and codling which have escaped through the nets being to small, not what it used to be ,but still enjoy getting out for a few hours Quote Link to post

bobby 3
if you go on the park side of the transporter bridge there is an industrial est...drive through there untill you get to the cement works park there ...and walk to your left its a brilliant little spot..you might allready know it. bobby Quote Link to post
