Guest what a flight
Had a stormer of a session yesterday, got the 3 fish 8 hour ticket and the takes where non stop from 7 a.m till it lulled in the last hour just after 2,iv'e never seen trout so keen to be banked ,every pattern and colour other than orange was catching fish,i stopped counting after 15 fish, they where all in top condition with full tails fighting hard as ever.I had 3 big doubles one about 15lb and the other 2 nearer 20lb cruiseing past me a few times that wouldn't play, but a young lad fishing next to me had the fight of his life landing a cracker 12lb rainbow, and a guy over the otherside landed a 17lb rainbow,i had a cracker fight of a brown round the 4lb mark that just wouldn't come in and the blues round 2lb to 4lb fight like nothing else.My 3 fish i took weighed in for 12 1/2lb.I like nothing better than to get into the dee catching wild brownies {never had 1 weigh more than a pound}on tiny drys through the summer but also like fighting big stocked fish too,if its handy to anyone wanting a days fishing on top condition hard fighting fish,it's well worth a visit to craiglywd springs at penmeinmour to tame a few of big euwan's big trout.. and it wont cost you an arm an a leg either .....
