IanB 0
I use the ram trousers, good for the money... Although there really a winter trouser, you will sweat your balls off in them come a couple of weeks time... Good all the same, most deerhunter is excellent for the money compared to the more expensive ranges... Quote Link to post

Guest WILF
Also have the Ram, and just as Ian says they are excellent if not a bit too warm........cant think why anyone would choose Moleskins over the modern advanced materials available now days.......same as waxed cotton......they are all yesterdays news. maty j 6
I've got the green montna trousers. I only paid 40 quid and I wouldn't pay the asking price. I havn't used them much to be fair but the outer fabric looks and feels too thin to stand up to alot of abuse. The waterproof liner Is like rubber backed which leaves you abit hot. I bought a KAMMO coat a good few years ago now and was going to get there trousers If I hadn't found the montana's cheap on ebay. IMO If there trousers are anything like there coats, the kammo's are worth the extra 20 quid. Quote Link to post
country-kid 2
so whats the difference betweeen the rams and the montana? Quote Link to post

Would agree Wilf but somehow i'm getting drawn back to wanting a Barbour again, I miss my old Solway, recon it's my age! Like with everything else I moved on to the 'new' hybrid Gor-Tex's but nowt fits and feels like a well worn and waxed Barbour, my old one was like fecking leather. Like an old friend that coat was. almost felt part of me. As for the kecks, i'd go for the Ram everytime, some serious 'Betty Swallocks' in the Montana! Quote Link to post
mad al 146
Top quality kit, but very warm so Winter is the only time I'd wear them Quote Link to post
