not too sur if this is normal, i set up my decoys on a wet sowed field near the munlochy bay and was sitting around for ages and then a suddenly noticed a heron right in the middle of my pattern. i tried to get a pic but it flew off. then a bit later some shell ducks came in and started to land so i waved them away.

one good thing is that your decoy pattern must have been good and the second is if some birds see others feeding then why not join in had it happen to me over here with geese and pidgeon decoys.

keep at it

Best thing I had happen was when a sparrow hawk struck at on of the decoys in my pattern. H flew off looking very disappointed.
