Dont use MS Live - it doesn't use FTP, which you may need at a later date, if you want to upgrade (it happened to me).

Tripod offer free sites, with an easy online editor. You can also use software like dreamweaver very easily with it. If you want your own domain name, with no ads, it'll cost you about US$8 per month, payable with paypal.

Like I say, avoid anything to do with bill gates like the plague...........

you can buy a magazine called Website Creator for 5.99 there is a cd with web site authoring comes with it,there should be templates you can customise for your own website.Or you can buy a book by Scott Mitchell called create your own website 8 easy projects, again a free cd with website authoring and templates priced 14.00 pound from Borders bookstores. If you need a web host,Host Papa looks like a good service for a reasonable price, just make sure whoever you sign up with for web hosting that it supports FTP as another member off here has said.

Julia

I'd be more than happy to help you - I've done a few ;)

They are only basic but do the job! The Netloft is one, I'll PM links to others.

I can help with domain registering, dns, ftp, hosting, etc - just ask ;)
